Melissa and I had a fantastic experience when we had lunch at the Wine Bar. For appetizers, we started off with Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts which were crispy fried and spiced with hot honey and the Salsa Di Parm.  This had Parmigiana and Asiago cheeses with Scallions, garlic, Extra Virgin olive oil and rustic artisan Italian bread. Needless to say, both appetizers blew me away.  For the main course, Melissa had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, which was blackened chicken breast with house made Alfredo and Roasted Red Peppers.  I had the Arugula, Prosciutto and Fig Flatbread.  This had a garlic and oil brushed crust and was baked with Prosciutto and dried figs, topped with dressed Arugula.  In my honest opinion, the quality of the appetizers and both of the flatbread main courses was very good.  With this well made food that was prepared for us, I enjoyed a quality Cabernet, after all it is a wine bar.  Of course, we had dessert, which consisted of Tiramisu, which we thoroughly enjoyed with a cup of coffee.  The whole experience was well worth the money which Melissa and I thought everything was very affordable.  Our waiter's name was Ian and was very professional as well as sociable.  The interior of the establishment was classy and was inducive for a good time out.  We had heard many positive things about this establishment since we've been here in West Virginia, and we are happy to see that the place lived up to its reputation and to have experienced the place firsthand.

ELOQUENCE ANTIQUES & ARTISANS

This establishment provides a very enjoyable experience into the past.  Every time Melissa and I go to this place, we leave with something interesting that takes us to another period of history.  We absolutely love this place which happens to be located in Morgantown's first indoor shopping mall, The Mountaineer Mall, which, the mall itself, opened up in 1975. Eloquence Antiques & Artisans has a wide variety of antiques spanning generations of history.  It's a great place to visit, even if you haven't any intentions on purchasing anything.  Its enjoyable to notice items that you once had seen growing up and are now considered antiques.  Did I just say enjoyable?  Where has the time gone?  Anyways, a day visiting Eloquence Antiques & Artisans is always a great day.

Here are a few antiques Melissa and I couldn't pass up;

Antique blue glass.  I don't know anything about the history on this item but both the design and color are unique.

Shortwave radio from the 1940's, built into a solid piece of furniture.

A 1930's radio that actually works.  Check out the large vacuum tubes.  Solid early 20th century technology!  I was impressed with the piece of furniture this radio was built into.  The asking price for this piece was $225.00, I haggled it down to $175.00.

Very early 20th century telephone. No GPS capabilities, no YouTube and no texting. Come to think about it, no buttons at all!

I felt compelled to pick up this picture of these two soldiers from the WWI era.

A copy of the 1932 advertisement came with the typewriter.
